We would like to draw your attention to the following webinar:
Webinar - Beyond Connectomics
Small-scale ATUM applications in neurobiological research
by Dr. Martina Schifferer (DZNE)
8th December 2020 - 14:00 – 15:30 C.E.T.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org before 2nd December 2020 to register.
Volume electron microscopy, for the ultrastructural analysis of biological tissue, often involves ultramicrotomy using the Automatic Tape Collecting Ultramicrotome (ATUMtome) or ssTEM, allowing large fields of view but affording limited z-resolution.
In this webinar Dr. Martina Schifferer presents volume SEM by using the ATUMtome as well as the new approach combining serial collection of 2-10 μm semi-thick sections using ATUM tome with ion beam-milling approaches (FIB-SEM) that yield isotropic voxels.
