About us

History

Since 1976 Science Services has been an excellent partner in providing systems and materials for sample preparation in microscopy and ultracentrifugation. We are trusted by scientific and industrial laboratories throughout the globe.

Alan C. Wallace founded Science Services in November, 1976. As an engineer he worked for companies that are considered pioneers in the field of electron microscopy. Since then, the production of hairpin cathodes and the distribution of scientific laboratory equipment for research and development have been operated by Science Services with a high technical understanding. After over 30 years of work for the Science Services Group, Alan C. Wallace retired in 2007.

On 01.10.2007 Dipl. Phys. Ing. (FH) Stefan Schöffberger succeeded him in the management of Science Services. In his previous position as laboratory manager at the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, he supported researchers in their daily work for several years. The technical expertise of the new Managing Director underlines the user-oriented focus of Science Services.

Mission
