Sputter Targets

(7)

Sputter targets are disc- or ring-shaped foils or plates made from high-purity material or alloys. These targets are widely used to sputter a fine film onto a sample or substrate with the help of a sputter coater.

For SEM, the conductive nature of various sputter coatings is desired to eliminate surface charging of non-conductive samples under the electron beam. The size of the target depends on the model of the sputter coater used. The material (metal) must be chosen according to the application and sample that needs to be analyzed. Please see also the info-box on this subject.

The prices for precious metals vary topically, so for most targets, unfortunately we can´t display prices here. However, we are happy to send you an offer. Please notify us in case you would need a target incl. holder.
