Sputter Targets
(42)Sputter targets are disc- or ring-shaped foils or discs made from high-purity metals or alloys. They are used to sputter a fine film onto a sample or substrate with the help of a sputter coater.
For SEM, the conductive nature of various sputter coatings is desired to eliminate surface charging of non-conductive samples under the electron beam. The material (metal) must be chosen according to the application and sample that needs to be analyzed. The size of the target depends on the model of the sputter coater used. Please see also the INFO-BOX on this subject.
Since prices for precious metals fluctuate greatly, unfortunately we can´t display prices here. However, we are happy to send you an offer. Please notify us also in case you would need a target incl. holder.
