DiATOME Trimming Knife, trim 90
The DiATOME trim 90 was developed for rectangular trimming of specimen blocks. Its design produces block sides at 90° providing a constant section size in contrast to the 45° pyramid geometry. It is primarily used for preparing blocks for serial sectioning for FIB, SBEM, or Array Tomography.
In addition to the standard version, a variant with a 4 mm blade width is now available. This version has been specifically designed for larger specimen blocks and features an additional edge at the base of the knife holder, enabling deep trimming for large serial sectioning projects. Both variants can be used at room and cryo temperatures.
