Description

An Introduction to the Linkam LTS Stages

LTS420E-P

The LTS420 is an easy to use and very versatile heating and freezing stage. The stage consists of a large area temperature controlled element with a sensor embedded close to the surface for accurate temperature measurements in the range of < -195°C to 420°C (when used with LNP96 cooling pump).

The sample is easily mounted on a standard microscope slide in direct contact with the heating element and can be manipulated 15mm in both X and Y directions. The sample chamber is gas tight and has valves to allow atmospheric composition control. A humidity compatible version of the stage is also available as are a version with internal electrical connections and probes.

There is also the LTS120 range, featuring heating and cooling without liquid nitrogen, as well as a version for use with an inverted microscope. Please contact us for further details.

LTS420E-P

The LTS420E-P is based upon the heating and cooling technology used in Linkam’s LTS420 stage. It has similar temperature control and range, and its dynamic heating and cooling performance ensures that most electrical component temperature control applications are covered.

The larger stage body allows up to 8 positional tungsten probes (other types can be used) to be attached to electrical connectors within the sample chamber and enables the user to make electrical measurements on the sample, while at the same time accurately controlling the temperature inside a gas tight environment.

The LTS420E consists of a large (53.5mm x 43mm) temperature controlled element with a platinum sensor embedded close to the surface for accurate temperature measurements. The sample is simply placed on the heating element and the probes moved manually to make contact at the appropriate points. Lemo connectors are supplied as standard, but BNC can be used instead.
