Upright Microscopes
(4)Classic upright laboratory microscopes are indispensable devices in biology, medicine, chemistry and materials science. They are mainly used in biological and medical laboratories, research facilities, industry and production for detailed observation and analysis of microorganisms, fixed cells, tissue sections or material samples.
Some important areas of application for laboratory microscopes are:
- Biology: for the examination of fixed tissue sections and cells, urine, blood, plasma smears and mucosa swab, microorganisms, bacteria, yeasts and fungi.
- Medicine: In human and veterinary medicine, upright microscopes are used in diagnostics and applied research, e.g. in laboratory medicine, dermatology, urology, gynecology and pathology
- Industry and production: for material testing and quality control of various products and materials.
- Research and teaching: for carrying out scientific experiments and studies in universities, colleges and research institutes as well as for the practical teaching of microscopic concepts
- Materials science: for researching and analyzing new materials and surface structures.
