Citifluor Series

CFPVOH is an aqueous solution of poly (vinyl alcohol). Retardation of photobleaching is effected by the addition of the aqueous antifadent solution AF100. (1 part AF100 to 9 parts CFPVOH)

Citifluor CFMR2 is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescence microscopy with high refractive index. Citifluor CFMR2 is a glycerol-based solution and contains a unique antifadent to reduce photobleaching for specimens labeled with GFP.

Refractive index at 20°C: 1.52.

Citifluor CFM3 is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples with high refractive index and CLEARING properties. It is a glycerol solution containing a phenolic-based antifadent and is ideally suited for high magnification work and retarding photobleaching of DAPI, Alexa, Hoechst and cyanine dyes.

Refractive index at 20°C: 1.52; pH: ~6.5.

Citifluor AF4 is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples. It is an unbuffered, glycerol solution containing n-propyl gallate as antifadent. Ideally suited for examination of tissue sections, dead/fixed cells. This unbuffered solution allows using a buffer of choice.

Refractive index at 20°C: 1.467; pH: NA; optically transparent from 400 to 750nm.

It is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples containing 2µg/ml DAPI. Citifluor AF1 plus DAPI is a glycerol solution buffered with PBS containing a amine-based antifadent. The mounting medium is ideally suited for staining of nuclei for dead/fixed cells, immunolabeling with fluorescent antibodies and FISH.

Refractive index at 20°C: 1.463; pH: ~10; optically transparent from 300 to 750nm.

Citifluor CFM1 available with and without antifadent is a non-hardening mounting medium for bright-field and fluorescence microscopy with high refractive index. It is a PBS buffered glycerol solution and is ideally suited for high magnification work to minimize distortion and confocal microscopy.

pH w/o antifadent: ~7.5; pH with antifadent: ~9

Citifluor AF87 is an immersion oil and mounting medium with high refractive index and low auto-fluorescence containing an antifading/anti-bleaching agent. The high refractive index is ideal for examination of specimens with confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM).

Citifluor AF3 is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples. It is a glycerol-free, PBS buffered solution containing an amine-based antifadent. Ideally suited for TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluor.), live cell imaging or other applications with glycerol-free solutions.

Refractive index at 20°C: 1.338; pH: ~10; optically transparent from 300 to 750nm.

Citifluor AF2 is a non-hardening antifading/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples. It is an unbuffered glycerol-based solution containing an amine-based antifadent. Ideally suited for examination of tissue sections, dead/fixed cells, immunolabeling with fluorescent antibodies and FISH. This unbuffered solution allows using a buffer of choice.

Citifluor CFPVOH plus AF100 is a hardening/permanent mounting medium with antifadent for fluorescent samples consisting of an aqueous solution of poly(vinyl alcohol) and the amine-based antifadent AF100 in a PBS buffered solution and has a pH of ~8.5. It produces films of medium hardness after water evaporation.

A new antifadent solution for use with live cells!

Citifluor AFR3 is a new non-hardening antifadent/anti-bleaching mounting medium for fluorescent samples. It is a glycerol-free, PBS buffered solution containing a new antifadent of lower concentration for minimal phototoxicity. Ideally suited for TIRF and live cell imaging.
