NIGHTSEA™'s new Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter adds fluorescence to just about any stereo microscope (or dissecting microscope) with no modification to the microscope itself. The modular design lets you easily switch between several excitation / emission combinations to work with a variety of fluorescent proteins and other fluorophores.
NIGHTSEA™ Add-On Light and Filter Set for the NIGHTSEA™ Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter. The light head and filters can be removed and replaced in seconds, and color coding ensures that you are using the right combination. The Add-On Light comes with a BNC connector.
The NIGHTSEA™ light-head hangers and cables conveniently hold the light-head instead of the gooseneck lamp. The hangers mount to the thumbscrews on the SFA adapter ring. They are available with two different pivot arm lengths for use with long and short working distance microscopes.
A LED white light head is also available as an illumination option for the Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter. Now if you are using the NIGHTSEA™ system for fluorescence you do not need a separate light source for your white-light work - just exchange the fluorescence excitation light head module for the white-light module in a matter of seconds. Extremely convenient for general illumination and as a focusing aid for fluorescence imaging. Comes with a BNC connector.

NIGHTSEA’s Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter extends fluorescence to standard routine stereo microscopes without disassembly or modification of the microscope. It is a modular system with 5 excitation/emission combinations to cover a broad optical spectrum. The standard emission is provided with long-pass filters.
Bandpass Emission Filter ‘green only’ for eGFP Fluorescence For eGFP excitation and other fluorophores in this excitation range, a 'green only' bandpass filter with a transmission spectrum of approx. 500-560nm is also available for use with the Royal Blue base unit (SKU: ESFA-RB). The primary motivation for the green-only emission filter was for the benefit of researchers using GFP in plants, such as Arabidopsis thaliana. Plants contain chlorophyll, which has a distinctive red fluorescence that can sometimes mask the GFP emission. The ‘green only’ filter is also useful for applications in which background autofluorescence reduces viewing contrast.

NIGHTSEA base with PULSE or DIM Function The NIGHTSEA Stereomicroscope Fluorescence Adapter base unit has been further developed and is also available as a triggerable or dimmable version on request. IMPORTANT: Only one of the two functions can be chosen for a device.
