ZEISS, Axiocam 212c, smart 12MP color camera with standalone capability

The ZEISS Axiocam 212 color is an intelligent 12-megapixel camera ideal for training, documentation and routine applications. The CMOS camera delivers razor-sharp live images with high color fidelity and impressive 4k resolution at up to 30 frames per second. 

Two operating modes are available:

• Stand-alone mode: operate the camera directly via the on-screen display (OSD) without a PC. Automatic adjustment of brightness and white balance, as well as functions such as sharpening, noise reduction and HDR, make documentation easy and efficient.
• PC or network connection: Connect the camera to a computer via USB, Ethernet or WLAN (via Wi-Fi dongle) and use software such as Labscope or ZEN. With the ability to network multiple cameras, the Axiocam 212 color is ideal for digital classrooms and networked laboratories.

The camera is equipped with a TWAIN driver that supports basic functions and enables secure image transfer to TWAIN compatible third-party software - perfect for the routine laboratory. Combined with microscope stands such as Axiolab 5, Axioscope 5 or Axioscope 7, you can experience the whole world of intelligent microscopy. The camera communicates with the microscope and automatically takes over scaling information, for example.

Operating without a PC: 

• The ZEISS Axiocam 212 colour can be conveniently controlled via the on-screen display (OSD) without any additional software or hardware.
• Use the mouse to open the OSD menu in the live image - it closes automatically after about 5 seconds of inactivity.
• Capture images, create videos and multi-channel fluorescence images - anything is possible.
• The auto exposure function ensures uniform image brightness by continuously adjusting the exposure time to the light intensity.
• Mark, measure or label the live image.
